This presentation will discuss the importance of workplace safety in the aviation industry.

Presenter Bio:

Gideon Garcia Gideon Garcia, is the Vice President and General Manager of Northern Air Cargo. He joined NAC in 2016 as General Manager. Prior to NAC, Gideon was Chief Operating Officer (COO) of CIRI Alaska Tourism (CATC). There he oversaw hotel operations, whale watching boat tours, and a reservations call center. He spent 18 years working for Holland America and HAP-Alaska prior to CATC. During this period, he managed a variety of business units in Fairbanks and Anchorage overseeing land tour operations for Holland America and Princess Cruise lines.

Gideon has been involved in community service organizations including Big Brothers/Big Sisters Fairbanks, Anchorage Downtown Partnership, Fairbanks Rotary Club, and Anchorage East Rotary Club. He currently serves on the Alaska Aviation Advisory Board, a state appointed board.

Gideon has a BA in Liberal Arts from The Evergreen State College and an MBA from the University of Alaska Fairbanks. He served in the US Army Reserves for ten years working in military intelligence.
