Greetings fellow Alaska ASSP Members!
You are invited to join us for our May Chapter “luncheon” session, being conduct virtually again this month.
With the current efforts to restart the economy and getting businesses back to more “normal” operations, many of us are planning and preparing for effective ways to protect our employees and teams as we begin to move back into our facilities and workplaces.
To help us in this endeavor, we have the pleasure of being joined by Ms. Christina Lewis, MS, REHS (Registered Environmental Health Specialist), with the Alaska Dept. of Labor- Alaska Occupational Safety and Health (AKOSH).
Christina will be presenting the latest COVID-19 related guidance as recommended by OSHA, CDC, and State of Alaska to reopen our Alaskan businesses safely. Christina’s focus will be on those work environments common in Alaska (office, construction, remote site/ village, etc.), as well as general strategies to minimize the impact of this virus on our businesses and community.
We hope you will be able to join us for this important and informative discussion.
Date– Tuesday, May 19th, 2020 from 12pm- 1PM AK time
For Zoom meeting ID and password, please reach out to any member of the Chapter Executive Committee or review the email sent to all chapter members from ASSP Alaska Chapter (firstname.lastname@example.org) on May 16, 2020.

March AK ASSP Luncheon Meeting Cancelled
Mar 13, 2020
As you know, the landscape around the coronavirus pandemic continues to shift rapidly. Over the past few days, many communities and states across the United States have enacted new measures and added travel and social distancing precautions to slow the spread of coronavirus. Based on these developments, the recent local Anchorage announcements, and out of an abundance of caution and care, we are cancelling our monthly luncheon meeting that had been scheduled for March 17, 2020.
Our top priority is protecting the health and well-being of our chapter members and our local communities. As we all adapt to the new realities this situation is creating, please continue to follow the latest guidance from organizations like the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and World Health Organization, as well as information from our local health and government authorities.
Be sure to check ASSP’s website frequently for updates as well.
Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns. Thanks for your understanding.
