AK ASSP Chapter September Luncheon – CHANGE OF VENUE

 

As we all know, change is inevitable.  We will continue to meet on the third Tuesday of the month at 11:30 am.  However, beginning with the luncheon on September 18, 2018, our monthly Chapter luncheons will be at the BP Energy Center, 900 E. Benson Boulevard, Anchorage, AK  99508.

After networking with your peers and eating a great lunch, we will have an opportunity to learn from MSgt Ronald Williams, USAF, Superintendent, 3 WG Weapons Safety, Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson (JBER), AK.  MSgt Williams will be leading a discussion on “A Safety Manager’s Ethos.”  He will also answer any questions related to trends or best practices from an Air Force explosives safety manager’s perspective.

Alaska ASSP May 2018 Luncheon: Fire Prevention and the Safety Professional

Please join us on Tuesday, May 15, 2018, from 11:30am – 1pm, for our monthly ASSP luncheon meeting at the Petroleum Club of Anchorage, which is located at 3301 C Street, Suite 120, Anchorage, AK  99503.

After networking with your peers, we will have an opportunity to learn from Don Enslow, Solutions for Safety.

Don will be leading a presentation on examples of fire incidents at job sites; awareness of fire codes and how they apply to our jobs; fire safety at the work site and what to look for during site assessments; fire hazards and OSHA requirements for specific tasks; and emergency preparedness for potential fire situations.

Details regarding the meal choices will be announced soon.
